Milltek at Dubshed 2026

We took our Golf MK8.5 R overseas for Dubshed! Ireland's premier automotive event. Whilst we like to keep close to home at HQ, we thought it was only right to submit our car for the indoor halls at the show, forgetting we were actually scheduled to be on track at Spa Francorchamps a few weeks earlier. But as this was the first year in many that plans haven't collided, we did both.Dubshed has always caught our eye over the years and it's been quite a while since we attended. But heading back to our heritage in the VAG community was a blast, connecting with so many enthusiasts who have purchased Milltek for their pride and joy was amazing. Seeing the level of craftsmanship going into the show cars these days is a wonderful sight. The Civic Cup has been supported by Milltek for the last 6 years and is a one class, front wheel drive series where all vehicles are very similar on power using the range of Civic Type R chassis over the years. Averaging a grid size of 35 cars, this is the upcoming one make series which is an official feeder for the TCR UK Touring Car Championship.Milltek GMBH have supported Rally2 Driver Philip Geipel and the SpeedLife Motorsport team with their Gen 1 GR Yaris throughout their 2025 season. Competing in the Central European Rally against big name drivers such as Oliver Solberg, Sebastien Ogier & Kalle Rovanpera. Essen Motor Show.A week long event that has approximately 500 exhibiters from around 2023 countries, 8 halls and a separate gallery for trade stalls. This one is a big deal, to showcase the best of Milltek infront of a huge european crowd.This year the Milltek GMBH team secured a booth in hall 5, displaying our GR Yaris Gen 2 demo vehicle, featuring the brand new 'Straight Pipe' system alongside the RaceChip MK8 Golf GTI and a whole host of Forge Motorsport products. Not forgetting our Milltek merchandise range, t-shirts and hoodies fitted to our custom exhaust style mannequins. Now let's talk about some of the stand-out vehicles of the show running the best Milltek exhausts. First one we noticed was this stunning Audi R8, on air suspension and a huge spoiler on the Streetec booth, we loved it. But after that, it was the Liberty Walk Lamborghini Urus from Top Secret that caught our eye, now this was so nice to see surrounded by so many amazing built machines. Some of the other cars include the Ramair G81 M3/F56 Mini Cooper S, a GR Corolla on the ST Suspensions booth and an insane BMW E92 drift car, which notably had a fully custom setup from our German Milltek team, including pie cuts for the downturn!Always a pleasure working with the GMBH team and we look forward to many more events in 2026.

Car fanatic and TV star?s Porsche gets Milltek exhaustWheeler Dealer presenter in Milltek?s facilities in DerbyNew exhaust system delivers the sound Mike craves Wheeler Dealer presenter, Mike Brewer, was almost left speechless when he brought his Porsche 911 to Milltek to have a Stainless-Steel Cat-Back exhaust system fitted to improve the sound of its engine.Before his beloved Porsche received its new performance exhaust, Mike talked to the engineers in the exhaust development and new product (non-exhaust) teams during a tour of Milltek?s head office, warehouse (with over £1 million of spare parts and exhausts ready for worldwide shipment), and production facilities in Derby. Having expected just to see ?a few men in a shed,? he was amazed at the scale and quality of what goes on behind the scenes at Milltek.?You know me, I love an engineering shop,? enthused Mike. ?You walk in, and you are greeted like this ? it is like the trumpets and horn section of an orchestra. Milltek is just unbelievable.?Over the last 40 years, we have expanded to have five sites with 15 buildings in three countries, including a setup at the Nurburgring in Germany and Milltek Corp?s production and distribution facilities in North America.Mike was encouraged to bring his Porsche 911 to Milltek by Ciro from Petrolheadonism.club, the community that brings like-minded petrolheads together, who recently had a Milltek exhaust system fitted to his Chevrolet Corvette C8 to enhance its engine?s sound.?Typical me, I?ve gone and bought a car that?s not very loud,? added Mike. ?I can?t hear it, so I just need it a bit noisier. Milltek at AutoID Snetterton Track Day

The Milltek team is always up for a track day when the opportunity arises, so of course when our friends at AutoID invited us down to their first track session of the year we enthusiastically accepted.It was great opportunity for us to put the recent modifications to our fleet F66 Cooper S to work. Among these was a suspension overhaul courtesy of KW Suspension and installed by Aaron Reeve of AReeve Performance.Not only has this transformed the stance of the car, it handles like a dream, while not being awful for the regular daily commutes.Alongside our Mini, we dusted off the Milltek G81 M3 for another track session. An AutoID track day wouldn't be complete without a hefty collection of Milltek equipped BMW M cars. Our M3 joined Jack, Nathan, and Taylan of AutoID's G87 M2, F82 M4, and F80 M3 respectively.On the media side of things after struggling to get the plethora of mounting accessories to fit securely onto the M3's front bumper our Go Pro setup looked like something out of Mad Max and unsurprisingly didn't provide the goods... but hey, nothing beats some panning shots!

Milltek On Track at Players Classic 2025

I am sure we can all agree that Players Classic is a highlight on the UK show calendar. One of the few events the Milltek team gets to attend at the Goodwood Circuit, there's a novelty to the cruise down south.Bringing with us Milltek fleet staples, our Mini Cooper S F66, and BMW G81 M3 sporting some new wheels since its last outing courtesy of Wheel Pros and Rotiform. The fleet cars were joined by Nathan of AutoID's G90 M5, with a total makeover since we last had it in at Derby for exhaust development. Providing a first opportunity for people to see the brand new TRE package up close.We had something special to show off too with our new fleet Land Rover Octa, rocking some loud Vossen HFX-1's. Plenty more to come with this car.On Saturday's track session we invited Aaron Reeve of AReeve Performance to send it in his Milltek equipped G87 M2. The new livery looking good as it blurred past our stand over the day. The M2 wasn't the only car with a Milltek soundtrack out on Saturdays track session though. With Ryan from Regal putting his Mk7 Golf GTI through its paces alongside the iconic Auto finesse GR Yaris. We also spotted two of our customers cars, an ever popular Ford Fiesta with a giant rear wing for good measure and Focus RS rockingCome Sunday, the show moved onto the track, so Aaron Reeves M2 got a chance to cool off parked up at our stand for customers to see up close.It's always good to catch up with new and familiar faces alike, the weekend was a great opportunity to check out the growing lineup of impressive VW/Audi stance cars with our systems. Which has got the team cooking up ideas for future shows!

With our track action covered, we wanted to turn the focus to some standout customer cars we spotted over the weekend. It's always exciting when we get to see these builds evolve over the years, even better when we finally get the chance to see them up close and in person.One manufacturer rises to the top of the list when people think Milltek, Volkswagen, and among the range of superb automotive machinery they have produced over the years the Golf is both one of our favourites but also a consistent best seller. This was on full display over the weekend with several Milltek equipped builds from Ryans track toy, to Craigs perfectly stanced out, on brand red, Mk7 Golf R.Not just golfs though, there were standout cars from across eras and models, RS6 monster? Check, eye catching wrapped TT? Check, carbon coated Polo? Check.We may also have noticed a few more VW's that we'll be pushing to get under our wing, but that's got to remain a secret for now!A special thank you to everyone who dropped by our stand, continuing the theme of Milltek and VW, our Mk1 Golf Tee sold like hotcakes! It's so good to see the passion for these cars alive and going strong.

The OCTA has Arrived

The latest addition to the Milltek development fleet has arrived. The new Land Rover Defender OCTA.Customers got a first chance to see it up close at the Players Classic show, rocking some loud Vossen HFX-1's in bright silver.It's genuinely hard to tell from photos alone how much wider it is compared to its regular Defender counterpart, which we know first hand, because alongside the OCTA we have taken delivery of a regular new Defender that the our research and development team have been busy working on.So that's two of our three new fleet cars, the third one is being kept under wraps for the time being, but they will all be on display, loaded with new bolt-on parts and Milltek exhausts at this years Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Great Northern Classics (GNC) meet on Wednesday 21 May, hosted by Milltek, attracted nearly 70 enthusiasts in cars ranging from Dodge RAM TRX pick-ups and several Porsche 911s to a selection of Golf GTI, Cupra and BMW M3 modelsNearly 50 cars from across the UK travelled to the GNC’s unique Victoria Ironworks venue in Derby for the evening meetMilltek's team attended with in-house development cars: Audi RS4 B7, BMW M3, Dodge RAM TRX, Porsche 911, MINI Cooper S and Land Rover Defender The Milltek takeover at Great Northern Classics in Derby on Wednesday 21st May saw nearly 70 performance car enthusiasts from across the UK arrive at the historic Victoria Ironworks venue in Derby.The range of cars included new and old Porsche 911 models, from air-cooled to the present day, an array of BMW M3 cars covering several decades. Some lovely examples from the VAG scene and also Italian and British manufacturers.Milltek dealers were in attendance, showing off demo cars such as the Stage 3 Tuned C8 RS6 from Awesome GTI, a second RAM TRX pick-up from Luna Customs, JWS Motorworks MINI GP3, VAS Motions lovely R8 and Regal Autosports 996 Turbo. Hype Motorsport and Avon Tuning both turned up straight from the track with Hypes BMW M2 and Avon’s new Civic FL5 Type R.Our team brought along some in-house development vehicles, including an Audi RS4 B7, G81 BMW M3, Dodge RAM TRX, 991 Porsche 911, F66 MINI Cooper S and two of Milltek Design's Land Rover Defenders – all with sports exhausts from the latest and modern classic Milltek exhaust ranges.“It was great to see people coming to the Great Northern Classics meet from all over the country in so many great cars, “ said Kev Hall, Technical Operations Manager at Milltek. “It was a really enjoyable evening. The first race of the Milltek Civic Cup from Maximum Motorsport is behind us!This is one of the closest fought series on the calendar and the first round at Donington didn't disappoint, with an action packed 27 car starting grid providing plenty of entertainment. The 2021 champion, Area Motorsport's Alistair Camp took out an impressively close win against team mate Liam McGill in race 1. Camp races in the less common FN2 Type R, fans got the opportunity to be up close and person to this car at the Autosport International show earlier in the year at the NEC Birmingham where it was on display at the Maximum Motorsport stand.Race 2's reverse grid saw the Area Motorsport team battle their way through from the back after a race 1 sweep of 1st through to 5th. 2 time TCR UK Champion Lewis Kent, fought through the pack to finally take out his first Milltek Civic Cup race win!Combined points from Kent taking out 3rd in Race 1 and 1st in Race 2 has him just a single point ahead of team mate Alistair Camp going into round 2 at Brands Hatch on the 19th - 20th April.

A season opener, the Autosport Show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK. This event marks a brilliant start to the new year, and also where we have exclusive merchandise available to purchase right there, on site. The Milltek booth, located in the Performance hall #4454, surrounded by our latest fleet vehicles - the Isle of Man Green G81 M3, the Defender 90 sporting our latest Milltek Design upgrades and the F66 Mini cooper. Also including a visit from our Germany GMBH distributers in the Toyota GR Yaris.It’s always amazing to see so many vehicles at the show proudly supporting the brand. This includes Swift Performance's stunning E46 M3, equipped with a Milltek system and built as the ultimate track car. Hype Performance were also amongst the others with their fleet of track ready vehicles sporting the Milltek sound. This show runs across the first weekend of January and over four days, of which the first two are for the motor trade. Where dealers and potential customers can get up close to the vehicles and check out our latest systems without having to battle the public. Milltek Classic updates VW Golf Mk4 R32 exhaustDevelopment car still had original Milltek systemNew R32 exhaust is first with brushed stainless steel finish When we were looking for a Volkswagen Golf Mk4 R32 to update our Classic range, little did we know our chosen car would come with a 10-year old original Milltek exhaust system in perfect condition.All Milltek Classic exhausts have a lifetime warranty as standard, but it was still a welcome sight to find the original system working exactly as intended.We have since updated the exhaust for the R32 to offer more ?Wookie? noises, which refers to the distinctive sound of the 3.2-litre VR6 engine fitted to the car.The update consists of a new ?V2? rear silencer that?s not only available as part of a Resonated or Non-Resonated system, but is also compatible with existing systems so anyone lucky enough to be running a Milltek on their R32 can benefit from the deeper tone and upgrade to the new design.Also new for this silencer is a brushed stainless steel finish. This is the first Milltek exhaust to be offered with it, although it will be rolled out to all systems going forward.The new Golf Mk4 R32 exhaust options are produced at Milltek Sport?s UK factory and made with 304L ?Aircraft? grade stainless steel. Believed to be the first modified Ineos Grenadier in the UK we were proud to showcase our development vehicle at Goodwood Festival of Speed, and what a reaction it got!As with all of our demo vehicles we are keen to get modifying! And this one was fun, Kitted out with styling mods from our brand partners at Urban Automotive, Wheel Pros, Black Rhino and Laser Lights this vehicle really stands out!On receiving our vehicle the development engineers initial tests were carried out and the data logged. Development was then started immediately! Featuring the familiar BMW B58 3.0L Inline Six our Research and Development team knew exactly what needed to be done. The results speak for themselves, and significant improvements have been made to the sound, appearance and driving dynamics!As with many of our systems we offer a choice exhaust tips allowing the owner to customise the look of the rear of the vehicle. Established in 1983 and having grown to be one of the most experienced and well-known businesses in the aftermarket tuning industry, Milltek Sport have entered their latest and most impressive stage of growth with the opening of the Milltek Sport Advanced Manufacturing Centre in Derby.The creation of the purpose-built facility represents an investment of £2.5-million and took 18 months to complete. It brings benefits in terms of production efficiency, reduced energy consumption and increased output. Importantly, it will play a significant role in enabling Milltek Sport to meet demand for its renowned performance systems as it develops its global presence.Milltek Sport estimates an 35% percent increase in production capability, resulting in reduced lead times and increased availability of ?first to market? systems for some of the most popular and newest performance vehicles, such as the Toyota GR Yaris, BMW M3/M4 G Series and new Audi RS3.The new facility complements its research and design facility near the Nürburgring in Germany, plus a primary production facility in Ilkeston.Adjacent to the company?s existing headquarters and warehouse & distribution facility in Pride Park, Derby, the Milltek Sport Advanced Manufacturing Centre is housed in a new 15,000 sq ft building that contains the latest advancements in manufacturing equipment.Notably, Milltek has added a BLM LT-3 HI-FLEX five-axis twin robot laser, BLM LC5 combo tube and sheet laser machine and a BLM ELECT 102 CNC multi-stack tube 4?/102mm capacity bender, which work together to streamline production and provide an even superior level of finish to every Milltek Sport system.For example, the five-axis robotic laser produces parts in a radically different way to previous and delivers cuts that would not have been possible with hand processes. The laser cutting also enables advanced processing of raw materials, optimising efficiency and reducing scrap and waste.The opening of the Milltek Sport Advanced Manufacturing Centre has also created an additional six roles, taking the amount of personnel at the business? Derbyshire hub to 70. 39 Years of Milltek Sport

July 2022 saw Milltek Sport turn 39 years of age! That?s right, next year is going to be a big one!! Watch this space for details of the party??Being as the big 4-0 is approaching, we wanted to keep it fairly low key this year so we took two of our favourite current development vehicles and got a subtle (or not so subtle .?..) retro race number 39 added to the doors, a little nod to the recently released Porsche 911 992 Sport Classic which we fell in love with at Goodwood Festival of Speed.We have had some great cars through the doors of Milltek Sport HQ this year for development, and we have been posting photos and videos on our socials and YouTube to show everyone what we have been working on. We have had everything from retro classics such as Mk1 and Mk2 Golfs, an Audi UR Quattro, all the way through to a brand-new Porsche 911 992 GT3 and everything in between! The virtual events of 2020 were impressive, but nothing can truly replace the buzz of the real thing! Festival of speed returns next week, from the 8th-11th of July and after securing Pilot Event status, hundreds of thousands of automotive aficionados will return to the grounds of Goodwood House to experience the best our brilliant industry has to offer! With modern spectacles and historic marvels, road and race come together to celebrate car culture in the truly unique way only FOS can! Here are 5 things that we think you should look out for if you?re coming to the FOS this year! 1. The Car ParkThis may seem like an odd place to start, but there are few events on the planet where the car park can be as interesting as the show itself. Festival of Speed is the exception! You?d be hard-pressed to find another event that attracts a more diverse set of fanatics than FOS. Take a look at what your fellow attendees turn up in and expect to see everything from Triumphs to Teslas and Fiestas to F40s. After a sighter run in 2018, VW brought back the Electric Enigma in 2019 to take another record, beating the McLaren MP4-13?s 20-year-old record by 1.7 Seconds! The Centre FeatureEvery year, Goodwood invites a manufacturer to design and erect a display that encapsulates their history, philosophy and generally just gives them an excuse to create a huge piece of art that shows off the best of their brand. In 2019, Aston Martin celebrated 70 years in racing with an incredible looping display of the Le Mans winning DBR. Norfolk?s legendary Lotus will take care of this year?s display, the brand perfectly encapsulates what Festival of speed is all about, heritage blended with modern innovation so expect to see a mixture of their F1 icons and exciting electric creations dominating the skies above the festival, at least until the Red Arrows show up.4. New CarsThe Festival of Speed provides automotive manufacturers with an amazing platform to unveil and display their newest releases. We?ll be just as excited as you to hear any announcements, as we look for new vehicles to get our hands on to create new systems! 2019?s event saw Ford showing off the Fiesta ST Performance Edition, it looked so good we went and got one! The new Defender got an early tease as well as mouth-watering offerings from the likes of BMW, Mercedes and Ferrari. 2021 promises more of the same, we?ve particularly got an eye on BMW, who are expected to unveil the new 2 series, with the current M2 Competitions being a Milltek favourite it will be exciting to see what the future has in store. Also eagerly anticipated are the GR 86 from Toyota as well as the latest offering from Porsche, who are expected to bring the new Cayenne Turbo GT.5. The Milltek Sport StandOnce again, we?re heading down South to exhibit at the Festival of Speed. Giving us the chance to meet you as well as allowing you to see our systems up-close and personal. Page TitleWith no sign of sunlight, we hit the alarms early in the morning and headed down to Silverstone, the home of British motor racing to meet Tom Onslow-Cole with the latest collection of Milltek toys...A few hours later upon arrival, still no sign of sunshine, the Milltek fleet gathered in the paddock to prepare for a day of track action. As towing hooks were fitted, coffee was being poured and traction control settings were being turned off, the thick rain continued to glaze over the Midlands. With a virtually empty track, we went about drying off the circuit with Tom Onslow-Cole delivering some reverse entry drifts, long power slides and some daringly fast laps, considering the conditions, in the CLA 45S; meanwhile, Managing Director Steve warmed up the Audi RSQ8 ready for its first taste of race track tarmac?After weeks on the motorway towing various Milltek cars around the UK, we were excited to give the mighty Audi its first blast on the track. Now fitted with active center valves to further improve drive modes, active suspension to keep the Audi low and flat through corners and an EC approved Front Pipe-back system, the Audi was ready to prove itself as a high-performance SUV somewhere other than the M5. After some confused yet acknowledging looks from spectators and marshals around the pit lane, the Audi lined up underneath the Silverstone sign, eagar to get out and demonstrate the combination of Audi?s engineering, the craftsmanship from our Milltek engineers and the stunning work from the team at Urban Automotive out on the UK?s most iconic race track.Back from his paddle in the CLA, also here for its first lap on a track, Tom then jumped in the new BMW M135i, sending the AWD hatchback around Copse corner with some serious angle. Tunerfest South - The Gallery

Page TitleThere have been times this year where it looked uncertain whether any form of Exhibition, shows, races or meets would even be possible in the near future but here we are after two shows in the last couple of weeks. It?s obvious that the world has not returned back to normal but when your calendar is usually full to the brim with shows and track days any form of event helps restore a feeling of regularity.Brands Hatch was bathed in glorious sunshine for the entirety of Tunerfest South this weekend. Pulling in as the sun came up on Sunday morning meant we were in prime position to witness the various car clubs and exhibitors arriving for the day. Setting up whilst what felt like our own personal parade drove by, we saw the incredible diversity of vehicles on offer with a large contingent of Japanese tuners rolled in, everything from Forester STI?s to NSX?s, the latter of which formed an impressive formation opposite our stand, making it hard for passers-by to know which way to look with the hulking presence of the RSQ8 on our stand. Despite the baking sun the RSQ8 still managed to attract the limelight throughout the day, not a moment passed where someone wasn?t admiring the latest addition to the Milltek Sport Fleet. Not to be outdone the other attendees on the Milltek stand brought some eye-catching additions from new Vossen wheels, Maxton Body Kits and for the case of the CLA 45s and M135i new graphical designs.As for the rest of the show, we thought it would be great to bring the best of it back with us, to share with everyone who couldn?t come along this weekend or hasn?t gone out to a show so far this year. The latest Milltek Team Member has arrived!

After initial development back in June, we decided to bring the M135i back to Derby as part of the Milltek Sport fleet in a bid to further enhance the sound and tone created by the new style 4 cylinder turbo hot hatch.This new flagship 1 series marks the start of a new era in high-performance hot hatches for BMW; with a polarised design perspective compared to previous models, and features aimed to compete with the likes of Mercedes? A35 AMG and the similarly priced Milltek favourite Golf R, we needed to give the new BMW a proper opportunity to impress and reflect on the progression of this relatively young series of BMW.2004 marked the 1 series? launch with the E80 range offering a rather aggressive set up for such a small car; with true BMW formatting in mind, the 1 series was built with a balanced 50/50 weight distribution and rear-wheel drivetrain. This made it a rather unique option for not only daily drivers who appreciate an athletic ride, but also a lot of enthusiasts and tuners looking for a track car at an accessible price. The E80 series continued throughout the 2000s only refreshed with a facelift or so until 2011 when the 2nd generation came into production.Using similar architecture as the previous gen, the F20 range kept the same playful feel and sporty attitude, refreshed with a sharper more aggressive-looking body and modernised interior. The F20 range also received some extra attention from BMW?s performance subsidiary ?M? in 2015 with the M135i and M140i; two track orientated vehicles loaded with exciting performance parts like upgraded and retuned M suspension, improved ergonomics to compliment spirited driving and, of course, a competent 3.0L straight-six that the M140i uses to send you to 60 in about 4.2 seconds.So what?s changed on the latest 1 series and why are Milltek Sport so keen to have it on the team? Other than some radical cosmetic changes, this era of 1 series has received some major adaptations to the performance characteristics including a now predominantly front wheel drivetrain, a new X Drive system capable of sending 50% of the power to the rear axle, as well as replacement of the 3.0L straight 6 for a 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo engine.Although the new engine design delivers a similar power output to the previous 6 cylinder, this BMW seems to lack the deep tones, raspy crackles and audible excitement that cars in this category usually offer. This is likely down to the nature of its 4-cylinder engine coupled with the array of filters and emission-reducing technologies found in the factory system that suppress tones and hinder exhaust characteristics. After it?s first visit to Milltek HQ, the new 1 series left the development unit with a particulate filter-back system that produced a noticeably more lifted exhaust tone, a deeper idle note, as well as improved throttle response. The shared history of the VW Golf and Milltek Sport

Madonna, Hungry Hungry Hippos, The Sony Walkman, The Golf GTi ?Campaign? and Milltek Sport; A lot of iconic things came out of the 80?s! Where Madonna is past her best, board games have been replaced with mobile games and an entire record collection can fit into your pocket, the Golf is still as popular as ever and Milltek Sport continues to make them sound as good as possible! Joking aside, the newest iteration of the Golf, the Mk 8, is starting to arrive in the UK, with customers eagerly anticipating the arrival of the GTi later in the year. With that eagerness being shared by us here in Derby, we?re taking a nostalgic look back over the archives at the Golfs that have passed through the garage doors of Milltek Sport as we wait to get our hands on one. The previous generation, the MK7, has been around in various iterations for several years. It has endured one of the biggest periods of change in the company's history, with emerging technologies, scandals and an increase in competition to deal with. Despite all this adversity, the Mk7 has played a key role in this transition with many revisions being added to the facelift, commonly referred to as the Mk 7.5 in 2017. This generation has become a familiar sight at Milltek Sport with multiple versions joining the fleet, heading to track days, races and events. The 7 is no stranger to our R&D facility too, more variants of the Mk7 have systems developed for them than any prior generation. Earlier in the Mk 7?s lifecycle, we began a project making a Golf R track ready. In the end, the R produced 500 bhp and was lucky enough to have been driven by the likes of Sir Chris Hoy and Jon-Allan Butterworth during Mission Motorsport?s Race for Recovery. This car stayed with us for double the length of time of any other cars on the fleet, 4 years were put into this blue bullet, it truly made its mark on the company and all those lucky enough to have seen it in action. After the facelift of the Mk 7 we took it to the next level with the GTi TCR, the same model raced in the TCR series. In 2018, the year of Milltek Sport?s 30th anniversary we took the Nordschleife, competing in the VLN series with the golf in a commemorative anniversary livery. This version of the Mk 7 took the engine from the Golf R, strapping it and it?s driver into a lightweight chassis that was 40cm wider than the base version. This combination made for a sharp and nimble touring car that was competitive across the various series it competed in. Of course, Golf?s aren?t only about racing and you didn?t need to strip one down to the bones to have fun! This final throwback proves that. Our Mk 1 GTi was a favourite in the office even when parked next to 600 bhp monsters in the Milltek Sport garage. The Mk 1 GTi was able to hold its own with its infamy, iconic silhouette and infinite ability to put a smile on the driver's face. Weighing just 840kg and a modest 112 hp this was the original blueprint for power to the people, showing that you didn?t need to break the bank to have a good time on the road. Enjoying a decade unchallenged on the hot hatch throne the Mk 1 GTi will forever be the benchmark of each of its successors. Our Mk 1 also has the company of the MK2 in the Milltek sport garage. The Mk2 had the enviable job of following-up the instant classic that was the Mk 1. All things considered it succeeded, some may argue they prefer the more visceral driving experience provided by the Mk 1 but the more refined Mk 2 brings a feel of improving the quality of your experience. The creature comforts that we wouldn?t even consider today are all present, by improving the pitfalls of the MK 1 they made the GTi easier to live with. Put simply, It?s more comfortable, spacious and gives you the best of both worlds, you don?t always have to be switched on with the Mk 2, but when you want to it?s able to keep up. With the increasing talk about the spread of Coronavirus, we wanted to share our business continuity plans, reassuring our all our customers that we are taking the necessary steps to ensure the business remains fully operational whilst also remaining vigilant within the business to maintain the health of our employees, dealers and customers. Milltek Sport & Onslow Cole Deal Renewed For Tenth Year

Milltek Sport is delighted to announce that we are continuing our relationship with long-standing brand ambassador Tom Onslow Cole for the tenth year in a row. Tom has been with Milltek Sport on his journey through various racing classes and teams over the last decade, most recently taking a second consecutive championship in the Pro-Am class of the International GT Open.This year has seen Tom supporting Milltek Sport at Mission Motorsport?s Troops track day at Silverstone. Having given those affected by military operations passenger rides in our Fiesta St and Tesla Model 3, Tom?s contribution continues in a similar vein this month as he heads to Spa Francorchamps to put the cars through their paces on another of the world?s premier tracks. This time, giving our European competition winner an unforgettable experience. Expect to see plenty of content from the road trip to the legendary track in the Ardennes Forest and the track day itself. Along with The Milltek Sport Branding adorning Tom?s Race overalls and Helmet, Onslow Cole will continue to support the brand on his social platforms as well as making appearances at events. His invaluable insight will also drive the development of our Performance Exhausts, to have a driver of Tom?s calibre supporting the creation of products is a testament to our joint commitment to quality and integrity. Upon reflecting on the relationship Tom remarked ?Ten years! I can?t believe how quickly it?s gone but also, when I look back, I can?t believe how much we?ve done. Our partnership has developed from branding on the side of a BTCC race car to a place where I now really feel a part of the company and am proud to represent them at the track, at shows and in my everyday life.? Tom has seen the company develop and grow over this period, seeing parallels in his own career "in the past decade, my career has gone from strength-to-strength and it?s undeniable that Milltek Sport has been a leading factor in that. In fact, they invited me to race their Dubai 24 Hour entry in 2013 and this was my first ever experience of endurance racing - I loved it so much it prompted to me push for a switch to GT racing in 2014. They also gave me my first laps of the Nordschleife and even sent me to Australia to represent the brand. Three GT championship titles later and going into our tenth year together we?ve got some really cool plans - I can?t wait to have some of the team at my racing events but, away from the track, we?ve got international shows, road trips, track days, product development and plenty of fleet car fun on the agenda. It?s clear that 2020 is going to be great!? Milltek Sport at Mission Motorsport's track day

Yesterday, the 11th of February, we headed down to the home of British motorsport for a track day in support of Mission Motorsport, the forces? motorsport charity. Arriving early at a deceptively sunny Silverstone we parked the Fiesta ST and found brand ambassador Tom Onslow Cole in our Tesla Model 3. The carpark in the shadow of the Silverstone Wing was filled with a mixture of modern and classic, road and race with a refreshing range of cars that would each offer a unique experience for the charity?s beneficiaries. One run they may have been passenger for a lap in a Ferrari 488, come back into the pits and be picked up by a Citroen C2 race car. With an array of vehicles ready to give their all around the GP track, the charities guests were given the opportunity to experience the same lap in a distinctive way each time they left the pits. Mission Motorsport provides those affected by military operations with opportunities to have experiences such as track days whilst also doing crucial work to make the transition from military to civilian life as smooth as possible. Providing access to potential employers, chances to compete in motorsport and most importantly contact with peers and professionals that understand their experiences. Whether it?s driving, managing or engineering, motorsport is harnessing the healing potential of competition in a way that no other form of sport can. Engineering provides a platform to adapt each component of the process to be accessible to everyone, all the way down to the car itself. The charities? calendar is filled with events that provide fun and a well-earned break. This, paired with the addition of companies that can provide employment, education or even an artistic outlet for the former-military personnel in attendance is an invaluable . One of which was Tesla, who soon recruited our Model 3 Performance for their stand in the pitlane. Milltek Sport was invited to come down to meet the servicemen and women, along with their families and with us we brought the incredible Fiesta ST Performance Edition and the Model 3. In the hands of Tom Onslow Cole, the Fiesta proved to be a favourite with the beneficiaries lucky enough to get ride with the GT Open Pro-Am champion, returning to the pits with wide smiles after embarrassing the likes of Porsche?s out on track. With a combination of our GPF-delete and Stage-1 remap on the Fiesta was up there with the most exciting vehicles out on track, and certainly got the most sideways! The Tesla also headed out on track for some sporadic laps, Tom enthused over his surprise of how good the Model 3 felt out on track, remarking how pointy the front-end was and how it didn?t feel as heavy as the stat sheet suggested. The Active-Sound system grabbed the attention of both the guests and the Tesla employees who are already eyeing up an upgrade for their own cars. Barring an abrupt hailstorm or three the day was a roaring success, it was great to get to meet so many of the amazing people who protect our country and to be able to pay them back, even in this small way was a pleasure. Getting The RS6 Home

At the turn of the New Year we revealed that we had already begun development on our systems for the 2020 Audi RS6 C8, we had our hands on the first 2020 RS6 on British soil thanks to our friends at BTM Turbo. This came after huge demand from our customers and dealers, making it a priority for us to deliver the products as soon as we could for everyone. This meant getting a RS6 to Derby in time, we had the 4.0 V8 Bi-Turbo delivered to us in mid-December, by the end of the month development had ceased and with the car needing to return back to the south of Germany, first via a test centre to conduct an emissions test. Prior to the release of a new system we send our exhausts to TÜV SÜD to attain EC approval, due to the importance of this system and the RS6 having to return home to BTM we decided to return it ourselves making the over 800 mile journey with the RS6 on a trailer towed by our Land Rover Discovery. The trip began on the Monday with The RS6 being securely placed on the trailer, leaving mid-afternoon we departed for Folkestone, the Discovery making light, but thirsty work of the job in hand. By the time we had made the Queen Elizabeth II bridge in Dartford the weather turned, and torrential rain greeted us to the south of England. Determined to avoid the trip being a wash out we powered through and made it front of the queue at the Eurotunnel, taking pole position on the train. The journey under the British Channel provided us with time to prepare a plan for the continental leg of our journey. A route was agreed upon and course was set for the first stop on the trip, a hotel just outside Bruges. The weather had relented somewhat, and we arrived at our hotel near the picturesque, medieval city around midnight and after finding a parking place near some Tesla Superchargers we headed for bed. We woke up early the next morning knowing that the longest leg of our journey was ahead, Bruges to Munich. Setting off from a barren hotel car park well before dawn at 6:30am. However, the Belgian roads were not kind to us and despite leaving with a view to avoid the rush hour traffic it seems that the commuters of Belgium are early risers and we almost immediately hit traffic. Having wrestled our way out of Belgium and we briefly passed through the Netherlands and into Germany with the network of autobahns for company. Ordinarily the Discovery would?ve eaten up the miles on the unrestricted autobahn but with the trailer the trip was limited to a steady pace. The staggering length of these roads allows you to see the variety that Germany has to offer as well as giving you an appreciation for the scale of it all, the autobahn feels endless when you travel all the way down the country, the system is an admirable engineering triumph that allows trips like this to be possible. With the sun well and truly set we arrived at our hotel, after finding a safe parking space for the hardworking Discovery we sat down for a traditional German meal in the hotel?s charming restaurant. The warming meal was put to good use early the next morning as sub-zero temperatures partnered a stunning sunrise as we took the short journey to TÜV SÜD. They provide high quality testing for a massive range of products, from food to nuclear power. This particular facility was purely automotive focussed. Allowing us to gain EC approval for our systems and ensuring that the product is of a high standard. TÜV SÜD have various methods of testing the emissions from a car or specifically of an exhaust system, these include lab-based examinations on a rolling road so that results are reproduceable and comparable. As well as this they conduct real world tests that seek to find out how the system performs in the real world. This is done by mounting specialist equipment to the back of the vehicle in question, measuring flow and the chemistry of the gases produced. This is an invaluable service to Milltek Sport which allows us to provide a high-quality product to our customers. Not only do these tests allow us to add certification to our products but this allows customers to feel assured that they are tested to a laboratory standard showing Milltek Sport?s commitment to excellence.
